Welcome to the Theta Kappa chapter of Delta Zeta’s sorority website. The sisters of Delta Zeta
at the University of New Orleans had an amazing spring semester. We participated in
Homecoming Week, winning 3rd place overall, and Greek Week winning 2nd place. We hosted a week long Philanthropy event called “Diamond in the Rough” raising over $700.00 to benefit
the chronically ill children at the Painted Turtle Camp. We also raised nearly $1,000.00 for the American Cancer Society’s Relay for Life, and collected nearly 3,000 lbs of food for Lambda Chi Alpha’s philanthropy to benefit the North American Food
Drive, securing 1st place in the competition. In addition, we hosted our annual Pink Rose Formal, numerous sisterhoods and socials, attended a Founder’s Day Celebration with local Alumnae and
participated in “Boo at the Zoo” and a Beach Sweep Clean Up.

Delta Zeta has even more events planned for the 2009 fall semester including a theme
party social, Christmas cocktail, numerous fraternity mixers, sisterhoods and a retreat. In addition, our chapter is launching a new Speech and Hearing philanthropy and continuing our efforts for Delta Zeta’s
National Pink Goes Green Campaign.
Congratulations to the women of the Theta Kappa Chapter for receiving the Quota Award and the Most Improved Chapter Award from Region XI at the 2009 Regional Weekend!

 Members from the Theta Kappa Chapter were also honored with the Awards of Outstanding Senior from the Region, Crest Award, Spirit Award, 4.0 Scholar and Rising Star Award.

In addition, members from the Theta Kappa Chapter of Delta Zeta received Outstanding Awards at Greek Week 2009 including the Outstanding New Member Award.
